Carbon Credit

Carbon credit refers to a tradable carbon limit that allows the user to emit a certain amount of greenhouse gasses or carbon dioxide. One credit permits the emission of one ton of carbon dioxide or the equivalent in other greenhouse gases. These credits are provided to polluters who can trade credits, when not in use.
